Verified by Visa and Mastercard
Online purchases on Divise & Divise websites, which are committed to ensuring their customers' safety and peace of mind when making online payments, have further strengthened their reliability by adopting 3D Secure technology. 3D Secure is divided into Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode, depending on the network. Starting in February, the activation of Verified by VISA (for Visa cardholders) and MasterCard SecureCode (for MasterCard cardholders) will be mandatory for all online purchases on the websites of certified merchants.
To simplify registration, the Activation During Shopping (ADS) system will be made available, allowing you to activate the service while making an online purchase on the websites of merchants displaying the Verified by VISA and/or MasterCard SecureCode logo. Starting in early February, the first time you purchase online through a certified website, a form will appear that allows you to immediately register for the services and complete your purchase. The information requested is the Cardholder Code (the ten-digit number in the top right-hand corner of the debit note) and the three-digit security number found on the back of your card.
It is therefore advisable to keep them available. Cardholders can now register for Verified by VISA or MasterCard SecureCode by accessing the Reserved Area of the website and following the instructions to generate the password and authentication phrase to use for online purchases. If the Cardholder has more than one credit card, they must complete the registration process for each card. All Cardholders of both circuits will be able to participate in the new service. Cardholders who have activated SecureCode and/or Verified by VISA will be able to make purchases as usual, even with non-certified merchants. In these cases, the transaction will be completed without the need to enter a password or authentication phrase, i.e., with the current security levels.
