Key features of a good hotel school uniform
Share
The uniform in the hotel management school is mandatory professional attire for access to the laboratories (kitchen, dining room/bar, reception) and serves to ensure hygiene, safety, and professionalism . Important: Each Professional Institute for Food and Wine Services and Hotel Hospitality establishes precise specifications (designs, colors, logos) for its uniforms. It is essential to consult the school's internal regulations or the list provided at the beginning of the year. At the end of the two-year program, students choose one of the following majors (or subdivisions/declensions) for the three-year program:
General Rules and Hygiene (valid for all sectors)-
Cleanliness and Order: The uniform must always be complete, clean, and ironed . Its appearance is part of the professional evaluation.
-
Personal accessories: Rings, bracelets, watches, and visible piercings are prohibited in the laboratory (for hygiene and safety reasons, especially in the kitchen and dining room).
-
Personal grooming: Long hair tied up (in a hat in the kitchen), short nails and no nail polish.
-
Use: The uniform must be worn only in laboratories and changing rooms to avoid contamination with civilian clothes (HACCP standards).
